Guiding principles, publication ethics, rights, and responsibilities governing all published works in The Thinker.
Originality and Academic Integrity
Authors must ensure that all submitted work is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration by another publication. All sources, quotations, data, images, and ideas derived from others must be properly acknowledged and cited in accordance with our academic standards.
Ethical Standards
The Thinker maintains rigorous standards of academic and editorial ethics. The following practices are strictly prohibited and constitute grounds for immediate rejection or retraction:
Editorial Review
All submissions undergo editorial review to assess originality, clarity, relevance, and alignment with the mission of The Thinker. The editorial team reserves the right to request revisions, edit manuscripts for style and formatting, accept, or decline submissions at its sole discretion.
Author Responsibility
Authors bear full responsibility for the accuracy, legality, and originality of their submissions. They are responsible for obtaining explicit permission to reproduce copyrighted materials where required and ensuring their work does not infringe upon third-party rights.

Corrections, Withdrawal, and Retraction
The Thinker reserves the right to correct, update, withdraw, or remove published content under the following exceptional circumstances:
Publication Policy & Fees
We believe in accessible academic dissemination while maintaining high editorial standards. Our fee structure is organized as follows:
Free Publication Waiver
Publication is provided entirely free of charge for qualifying contributors:
- Authors whose primary academic affiliation is outside Vietnam.
- Authors who have participated in or collaborated with programs organized by the Center for Innovative Chinese Studies or the Hanzi Story Project.
Optional Administrative Services
The following optional services may be subject to a service fee upon request:
- Electronic Certificate of Publication (E-Certificate).
- Professional language editing, translation, and proofreading.
- Manuscript polishing and advanced formatting services.
Copyright & Rights
Authors retain the copyright to their work. By submitting a manuscript, authors grant The Thinker a non-exclusive license to edit, publish, archive, reproduce, and distribute the accepted work across digital platforms with appropriate attribution.
Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions are made solely on the basis of academic merit, originality, relevance, and editorial quality. All review decisions operate independently and free from political, institutional, commercial, or personal influences.
